In Ruqyah Shari’ah (Quranic healing), Surah Al-Mulk (67:1–4) serves as a vital psychological and spiritual fortress:
1. Curing Existential Despair, Anxiety, and Fear of the Future
- Spiritual Principle: The reminder that life and death are a purposeful test under the absolute sovereignty of the All-Mighty (Al-Azeez) and Forgiving (Al-Ghafoor) lifts the crushing weight of existential anxiety and hopelessness.
- Ruqyah Application: Recited regularly as part of nightly protective routines (before sleep) to bring deep psychological tranquility (Sakinah) and eliminate night fears, nightmares, or intrusive existential dread.
2. Neutralizing Exhaustion, Visual Stress, and Demonic Intimidation
- Spiritual Principle: Just as human vision returns exhausted and humbled (Haseer) when trying to find a flaw in Allah’s creation, dark entities, magical illusions, and evil gazes are utterly exhausted and defeated when attempting to pierce a heart fortified by Allah’s perfection.
- Ruqyah Application: Recited during Ruqyah sessions to break spiritual burnout, physical exhaustion, or heavy eye strain caused by envy (Hasad) or dark spiritual interference.
3. Establishing Nightly Protection (Hifz) for the Body and Soul
- Spiritual Principle: Reciting Surah Al-Mulk every night creates an active spiritual barrier of forgiveness and protection around the believer.
- Ruqyah Application: Incorporated into nightly habits before resting, acting as an unshakeable shield against negative energies, Jinn interference, and spiritual vulnerability during sleep.

📜 Tafsir / Commentary
Classical mufassireen explain the cosmic perfection and spiritual protection established in the opening of Surah Al-Mulk:
1. Absolute Dominion, Purposeful Creation, and Cosmic Order
Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Imam Ibn Kathir explains that Tabaaraka signifies supreme blessing, elevation, and sovereignty (Biyadihil-mulk). Life and death are created as a test (Liyabluwakum) to determine who possesses the purest faith and best deeds. Verses 3 and 4 highlight the absolute perfection and flawlessness of Allah's creation across the seven heavens, where human vision (Al-Basar) ultimately returns exhausted and humbled (Khaasi'an wa huwa haseer), failing to find any crack, flaw, or discrepancy (Tafaawut).
Tafsir Al-Qurtubi: Imam Al-Qurtubi emphasizes that meditating upon the vastness and structural perfection of the heavens shatters the illusions of worldly chaos, grounding the human heart in awe of the Creator's absolute control over all dimensions of existence, visible and unseen.
