English Translation (Saheeh International)
“Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth. And he whose provision is restricted – let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not charge a soul except [according to] what He has given it. Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.”

1. Relieving Financial Anxiety, Stress, and Scarcity Mindset

Narrator: Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) frequently reminded the companions that true wealth lies in contentment of the heart and absolute reliance on Allah's allocation, reciting verses that promise relief after strain:
"Whoever is struck by a need and places it before people, his need will not be satisfied. But whoever is struck by a need and places it before Allah, Allah will soon grant him provision, sooner or later."

1. Divine Compassion and the Promise of Inevitable Ease
Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Imam Ibn Kathir explains that Allah instructs people according to their actual capacities, never overburdening anyone beyond what He has provided them. The verse concludes with a powerful, unconditional divine promise: "Sayaj'alul-laahu ba'da 'usrin yusraa" (Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease). Ibn Kathir notes that this serves as immediate solace for those facing financial ruin, poverty, or severe worldly constraints, assuring them that difficulty is always temporary and bound to be replaced by divine relief.

Furthermore, the explicit promise of Yusr (ease) following 'Usr (hardship) provides unwavering hope to the struggling believer.
